Description
BenQ DVY22 4K 126° Wide Field of View Video Conference Webcam
The BenQ DVY22 is a professional 4K video conferencing camera designed for modern meeting rooms, classrooms, corporate offices, training spaces and hybrid collaboration environments. It combines 4K UHD video, an exceptionally wide 126° diagonal field of view, AI-powered auto framing, 4x digital zoom and built-in omnidirectional microphones with noise suppression to provide a complete video and audio solution through a single USB connection.
Designed particularly for small to medium-sized meeting rooms, the DVY22 can capture multiple participants without requiring everyone to sit tightly around the camera. Its wide-angle lens provides a 120° horizontal, 85° vertical and 126° diagonal viewing angle, making it suitable for group meetings where conventional narrow webcams may leave participants outside the frame.
The camera uses a 1/2.5-inch 4K CMOS sensor with 8.28MP effective pixels and supports up to 3840 × 2160 resolution at 30fps. AI-powered auto framing can help keep participants appropriately positioned within the frame, while 4x digital zoom and electronic PTZ functionality provide additional flexibility during presentations and discussions.
BenQ DVY22 4K Conference Camera Overview
The DVY22 is more than a standard desktop webcam. It is a dedicated conference camera built for shared spaces where several people need to appear clearly on screen. The combination of a wide field of view, high-resolution imaging and integrated microphones makes it suitable for professional video conferencing without requiring a complicated camera setup.
Its USB 3.0 connectivity provides plug-and-play operation with compatible computers and displays. The camera supports UVC and UAC communication protocols, allowing compatible systems to recognise the video and audio functions without requiring specialised capture hardware.
BenQ specifies the DVY22 for medium-sized meeting spaces, where its 126° viewing angle can capture a broad area of the room. It can be used for business meetings, remote collaboration, online presentations, education, training sessions and other applications that require clear group video.

4K UHD Video Quality
One of the main advantages of the BenQ DVY22 is its 4K UHD imaging capability. The camera can produce a main video stream at 3840 × 2160 resolution and 30fps, providing considerably more image detail than conventional Full HD conference webcams.
4K resolution is particularly useful for meeting environments where several people are visible simultaneously. Faces, presentation materials, whiteboards and other visual details can remain clearer when displayed on a large conference-room screen.
The camera also supports 1080p, 900p and 720p video modes at up to 30fps. This allows users to select an appropriate resolution according to their conferencing software, network conditions and system capabilities.
126° Wide Field of View for Group Meetings
The 126° diagonal field of view is one of the defining characteristics of the DVY22. Its 120° horizontal viewing angle enables the camera to cover a broad section of a meeting room, allowing several participants to remain visible without needing to sit directly in front of the lens.
A wide-angle conference camera can be especially useful when the display and camera are positioned at the front of a meeting room. Participants seated toward the sides can remain within the frame, helping create a more natural remote meeting experience.
For this reason, the DVY22 is well suited to conference rooms, boardrooms, classrooms, training rooms, collaborative offices and other shared environments.
AI-Powered Auto Framing
BenQ DVY22 features AI-powered auto framing to help keep meeting participants appropriately positioned within the camera view. Instead of requiring users to manually adjust the framing every time someone enters or changes position, the camera can intelligently manage the composition.
This is useful during group discussions where participants may move around the room or where different people join the conversation. Auto framing helps maintain a practical view of the participants without requiring constant manual camera adjustment.
4x Digital Zoom
The built-in 4x digital zoom provides additional flexibility when a presenter or speaker needs to be highlighted. Users can digitally move closer to a subject without physically repositioning the camera.
Combined with autofocus and the camera's 4K imaging capability, digital zoom can help focus attention on specific participants, presentation areas or other important parts of the meeting space.
Automatic and Manual Focus
The DVY22 supports both automatic and manual focus. Autofocus makes everyday video conferencing easier because the camera can adjust focus according to the scene, while manual focus provides additional control for controlled environments and specialised applications.
The glass lens and image-processing system are designed to provide clear video across different meeting conditions. This combination is useful when the camera needs to capture people at different distances from the lens.
Built-In Omnidirectional Microphones
Video quality is only one part of a successful online meeting. The BenQ DVY22 also includes two built-in omnidirectional microphones designed to capture voices from around the camera.
BenQ specifies microphone pickup of up to 8 metres, making the integrated audio system suitable for many small and medium-sized meeting rooms. Omnidirectional pickup allows participants positioned at different locations around the camera to communicate without requiring a separate desktop microphone for every person.
The microphones also feature noise suppression and echo cancellation technologies to help improve speech clarity during conferencing sessions.
Noise Reduction and Clear Communication
The DVY22 supports 2D and 3D digital noise reduction for image processing and provides a signal-to-noise ratio above 55dB. These technologies can help maintain a cleaner image when the camera is operating in environments with varying lighting and background conditions.
For audio, built-in noise suppression and echo cancellation help reduce unwanted interference during conversations. This makes the integrated microphone system practical for online meetings where installing a dedicated audio system may not be necessary.
Low-Light Performance
Meeting rooms do not always have ideal lighting conditions. The DVY22 is designed to operate in low-light environments with a specified minimum illumination of 0.1 Lux.
Its ultra-low illumination mode and image-processing capabilities can help maintain usable video when room lighting is less than ideal. This can be particularly useful in offices, classrooms and conference rooms where lighting conditions change throughout the day.
Dual-Stream Support
BenQ DVY22 supports dual-stream operation, allowing compatible applications and systems to work with separate main and sub-stream video outputs. The main stream supports high-resolution video while the sub-stream can operate at lower resolutions.
This flexibility can be useful for conferencing platforms and applications that require different video streams for different purposes, helping the camera adapt to various professional workflows.
USB 3.0 Plug-and-Play Connectivity
The DVY22 uses USB 3.0 for video and audio connectivity. This provides a straightforward connection between the camera and a compatible computer or display system.
USB 3.0 is particularly important when using the camera at its maximum 4K resolution. BenQ specifies that USB 3.0 is required for 4K operation, while USB 2.0 can be used for lower-resolution modes.
The camera supports UVC and UAC protocols, making it suitable for compatible operating systems and conferencing environments without requiring a proprietary capture interface.

Ideal for Meeting Rooms and Professional Collaboration
The BenQ DVY22 is designed primarily for medium-sized meeting spaces. Its wide viewing angle makes it possible to capture a larger group without placing the camera too far away from the participants.
Businesses can use it for internal meetings, client presentations, remote interviews, project discussions, online training and hybrid workplace communication. The camera can also be useful for educational institutions where teachers and students need to interact with remote participants.
Suitable for Online Classes and Training
Educational institutions, training centres and corporate learning environments can benefit from the DVY22's wide-angle coverage. A teacher, instructor or presenter can remain visible while participants are also included in the frame.
The 4K imaging capability can be helpful when displaying physical materials, presentation boards or detailed visual content, while the integrated microphones reduce the need for additional audio equipment in suitable room sizes.
Professional Business Meetings
For businesses, the DVY22 provides a practical way to improve the quality of hybrid meetings. The camera's wide field of view helps remote participants see more of the room, while AI auto framing helps maintain a useful composition as people move.
The integrated microphone system also simplifies installation by combining video and room audio capture in one conference camera. This can reduce cable clutter and make meeting-room deployment easier.
Compatibility
The BenQ DVY22 supports Windows, macOS and Linux systems with compatible UVC support. BenQ specifies Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10, macOS 10.10 or later and Linux with UVC support in its documentation. For 4K operation, a USB 3.0 connection is required.
Actual compatibility with individual conferencing applications can depend on the host computer, operating system, USB interface and software configuration. Buyers should ensure their system meets the required hardware and software conditions before selecting 4K operation.
